Eyes Wide Shut (1998)

Alice and Bill Harford is a couple whose harmony has been used by the years. Alice tries to revive Bill's passion by describing him a fantasm in which he does not take part. Bill, desoriented, then looks for a wife without any problem, so with no surprise and with no deception. The adventure leads him to a complicated situation in which an organization uses women as anonymous object, spiritually and physically available to anyone at such extent that their lives are at risk if the contract with the organization is not respected.

Cruise is amazing in this role and the litanical "monophonochromatic" music of Jocelyn Pook is somptuous and enchanting.
