Paths of Glory (1957)

In this movie the spectator attends a moral confrontation between two French army officers describing a critical representation of the French Army High Command. One of those, high rank officer wants to engage his troups in a suicide operation only in order to reach personal goals. The artistic complicity between Kubrick and Kirk Douglas is so good that this movie was refused by the French dimplomacy until 1975, date of his release in France.
